In February 2026, Premier Events commissioned me to photograph the KFC conference and awards dinner at Exhibition Centre Liverpool. The event brought together 1,300 guests for a full programme of conference sessions, exhibition activity and evening celebrations.

I’ve photographed this event many times. For this assignment, the brief was to cover the whole event, from registration and networking through to the awards and party. The photography spanned 16 hours.

Photographing the conference and exhibition

My coverage included the venue and production, registration, exhibition stands and networking, as well as the conference presentations and panel discussions.

The photographs bring together wide views of the auditorium and staging with closer images of the speakers and audience. Delegate reactions and participation were a significant part of the coverage, including the sight of the audience raising their scarves together.

Away from the main stage, I photographed interaction at the exhibition stands and networking during lunch. These images help show the experience across the event, alongside what happened during the conference sessions.

From the conference to the awards dinner

The evening programme included a drinks reception, dinner, the awards ceremony, a band, a DJ and dancing.

My coverage included the room and lighting, guests talking over drinks, group photographs and moments on stage during the awards. The changing atmosphere is visible in the gallery, from the daytime presentations to the evening celebrations.

1,800 photographs delivered within three days

Following the event, I supplied 1,800 photographs within three days, covering the conference, exhibition, dinner, awards and entertainment.
