Conference Photography at The Minster Building, London for the Intuitive Leaders Forum
Conference Photography for a Returning Creative Partner
I was recently at The Minster Building in London photographing the Intuitive Leaders Forum on behalf of Outlook Creative.
Outlook Creative were responsible for the video production at the event and recommended me as the conference photographer. Referrals like this are always appreciated, particularly when they come from people you’ve worked alongside on multiple successful projects.
Over the years I’ve worked with Outlook Creative on a variety of assignments and supported them with photography for well-known brands including Autoglass and Kwik Fit, so it was great to work together again.
Seeing the Future of Surgery
The conference was organised by Intuitive, a company at the forefront of robotic-assisted surgery.
Their technology helps surgeons perform complex procedures using advanced robotic systems that provide greater precision, control and visualisation during surgery. The equipment is used in hospitals around the world and is helping to transform the way many procedures are carried out.
I’ll be honest, some of the demonstrations and discussions completely blew my mind.
As photographers we’re fortunate to get access to industries and environments we would never normally see, and this was one of those days where I found myself learning as much as I was photographing.
The technology on display offered a fascinating glimpse into what the future of surgery may look like.
Conference Photography at The Minster Building
This was my first time working at The Minster Building, operated by Cavendish Venues.
It’s a modern venue in the heart of the City of London and felt perfectly suited to this type of conference. The conference spaces were well designed, the facilities were excellent and the central location made it easy for delegates travelling from across the UK and overseas.
As a conference photographer, it’s always useful discovering venues for the first time, particularly when they’re as well equipped as this one.
Supplying Conference Photography on the Day
One of the more challenging aspects of this shoot was the requirement to provide a summary gallery before the conference had even finished.
The photographs were needed for the final presentation of the day, meaning I had to photograph the conference, edit selected images and deliver them while the event was still taking place.
It’s a process I’ve done many times, but it always requires careful planning.
Throughout the day I needed to identify suitable moments to step away from the conference floor, complete image selection and editing, and then return before missing anything important.
Time those breaks badly and there’s always a risk of missing a key moment.
Fortunately everything worked exactly as planned on this occasion.
Seeing the Images Used During the Event
One of the most satisfying moments came during the final presentation when the photographs appeared on the large screens in front of the audience.
It’s always rewarding seeing images being used so quickly after they’ve been taken, particularly when they’re helping tell the story of an event that is still taking place around you.
Watching delegates react to photographs captured only a few hours earlier is one of the unique aspects of conference photography with same-day delivery.
Conference Photography in London and Across the UK
This was another enjoyable conference shoot in London and a great example of the type of conference photography work I regularly provide throughout the UK.
Whether it’s conferences, leadership forums, healthcare events, corporate meetings or industry gatherings, my role is to create a strong collection of photographs that document the event and provide organisers with useful content long after the day has finished.
If you’re looking for a conference photographer in London, conference photography at The Minster Building, or event photography for a corporate conference anywhere in the UK, I’d be pleased to discuss your requirements.
