Where it all began…
My photography spark was ignited when I was designing websites for a living. Very often I was asked by clients if I could source images for their website. So me being me I taught myself photography.
I brought my first DSLR from my brother-in-law for £200.00 (it was broken and needed repairing), I became obsessed with watching photography tutorials on Youtube, reading magazines from cover-to-cover each month and photographing whatever I could point my camera at.
Eight years on I look back at my career and can honestly say I couldn’t be happier with how things have gone. My highlight was spending two days with Muhammad Ali before the launch of the London Olympics in 2012. My lowlight was photographing fifty catheters in a studio I set up in my dining room. There’s been so much in between such as photographing products for Caterpillar, car launches for luxury brands, events in Venice, headshots in New York… the list goes on.
I now have such an amazing client base who keep me busy. I have around one hundred shoots a year in London and the rest are split between my home county (Leicestershire) and all around the UK.
A client recently asked me what my hobby was. Well it’s photography. I’m so lucky to be able to do what I do for a living.
